National CIS Support
The
Communities In Schools National organization,
based in Alexandria, Virginia, provides training and
technical assistance to foster and enhance the implementation
of this program in the DC public school system. Support
includes training and technical support for the CIS
of the Nation’s Capital staff and board; the tools
needed to effectively assess school needs and measure
student and school outcomes; intranet access to current
research and best practices, and linkages to a network
of over 200 CIS local and state programs throughout
the nation.
