We are so grateful for the collaborative work done with New York City’s Jazz at Lincoln Center that enabled five of our schools to participate in their Let Freedom Swing Jazz Series, which focused on jazz and African American History.

Over the course of the last three months, each school participated in three concerts: Jazz and Democracy, Jazz and the Great Migration, and Jazz and Civil Rights. Led by jazz artist and DC native Corcoran Holt,  each concert provided a unique and engaging learning experience for the students.
